Taiwan Engine company based in Taoyuan, Taiwan is a reliable supplier and exporter of all kinds of used automotive products from Taiwan.
For over 7 years, we’ve bridged the gap between Asia’s robust automotive market and buyers worldwide, ensuring your business receives the precise inventory it needs—whether you’re stocking a dealership, powering a rebuilding operation, or sourcing reliable spare parts.
We are a used car engines supplier, as well as we offer used full cars or car cuts (such as complete car cuts, off-cuts, nose-cuts) used scooters, used cars and used tires, used body parts and any kind of used parts that can be disassembled from the vehicle.
We offer full container loadings and work with direct customers (importers) in African countries, Middle East, East Asia and CIS (Russian-speaking) countries.
Important to note, that we work only with wholesale used car parts importer and can’t accept any retail orders because shipping (delivery) expenses will be too high and unbearable for end-consumer.
For the past 5-7 years, Taiwan has become trusted used engine marketplaces for used engine importers and now stay on the par with used engines and parts from Japan. However, we are not the only country in Asia to supply used cars, engines and parts to developing countries. Right now, customers are looking for suppliers even in such previously unusual places as Hong Kong, South Korea and even China.
Compared to these new outsourcing destinations, Taiwan has several advantages:
Car and engines ranges from 90s to present days we can offer to our customers.
Unlike China, which is frankly a poor countries (if you look at GPD per capita at purchasing power parity), Taiwan has been a developed and rich country from the 80s and 90s and therefore Taiwanese could afford to import a lot of luxury German and other European cars, so that now they are all available from the scrap yards. Even though, all German cars are 100% imported to Taiwan, used engines for BMW from Taiwan are as popular as used engines for Toyota.
Domestic car production keeps prices low and affordable.
Other reason Taiwan can offer wide range of cheap used cars and parts is that because there are many car manufacturers are actually located in Taiwan. We have domestically produced wide range of Toyotas (Camry, Yaris, Rav4 and Corolla, locally called Corolla Altis). Also, we have Nissan models: Sentra, Tiida, Livina, Kicks); Mitsubishi models: Lancer, Galant, Colt, Outlander; some Honda models: CRV, HRV, Fit, Civic and few Fords models: Focus and Escort. Hence, we not only have cheaper domestic cars, but also many used engines for Nissan or used engines for Honda.
While there is a big price difference for locally made and imported cars (due to high import tariffs), when you compare prices on used engines for 15-20-year-old cars, this price difference vanishes over the years. There is not difference between, say, Toyota Camry 4th gen or BMW E60. After 15-20 years of usage, they will cost around the same. And they are still perfect cars in a good shape. It is true for cars and it is true for the engines.
Small island means small mileage
Taiwan alike Japan is an island. Actually, a small island compared to islands in Japan. Japan is famous for its low mileage used engines due to short driving. Well, Taiwan is even smaller place. The whole island just 450 kilometers from north to south and all population living on the west side of the island about 50 kilometers depths. All the rest is covered by mountains. Therefore, it is pretty normal to see 15-20 years old car with mileage below 100 kilometers.
Taiwan government pays for foreign buyers
Taiwan has subsidies new car buyers for years. It used to buy about 1700 USD subsidy for “buy new car recycle old” transaction. It requires a certificate issued by car engine recycling company. Starting from 2025, Taiwan government decided to be even more generous: now new car buyer subsidy raised to 3500 USD. What does it have to do with African buyers or any importer around the world? Well, it is pretty straight forward. When new cars are getting cheaper to buy, car owners will consider upgrading to a brand-new vehicle much faster than they would have do without these subsidies. Hence, you will see scrap yard car engines, used cars and parts in bigger numbers.
While we talked about advantages, it would be fair to mention some disadvantages of Taiwan used car and engines market:
Full size Off-Road jeeps are like Red Book animals.
Taiwan is a tropical island with tiny parking spaces and without winter. Obviously, it affects the car models and types to be owned. I still don’t know why people needs to buy midsize SUVs (I do know of course: SUVs offer biggest saloon space and more safety in car crash), but Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 are the biggest cars on the streets. Full-size SUVs are super rare.
Even though Asian culture is very family oriented, big family cars are unpopular. I presume tiny streets and absence of parking spaces won the battle over family culture. If someone really need all grandpas and grandmas take a ride with three generations of the family, probably the choice would be a minivan.
Perfect streets and absence of rural roads.
4WD cars do exists but rather as a special option. Probably it is a matter of exaggerated safety concerns, and 2WD SUVs is the most off-road cars you can get. All wheel drives vehicles are much less common, while the chances to see real hardcore off-road frame type SUVs are as high as to meet Yeti on the street. Toyota Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Tundra, Ford F150/F250, Nissan Patrol are next to impossible to find.
Wide but not super wide models’ range.
I mentioned above the Taiwan have domestic car manufacturing as well as wide range of makes and models of imported cars. But still you can’t see as many models as in Japan. Also, you can’t compare Taiwan with B2B sourcing marketplace like Dubai or Sharjah in UAE. Taiwan has its own cars, on the contrary Sharjah imports used engines from USA, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, starting from China and Hong Kong, also from Europe (mostly Poland and Lithuania). Very wide car range is definitely a greatest advantage of used engines marketplace such as Dubai, but it is a place where engines are bought and sold for the second or third time before they finally go to final destination. If you want to get used engines direct from supplier, you have to visit Japan, Taiwan or Korea.
All and all – Taiwan is one of the best places to buy a used engine or used cars, engines, scooters, tires and other second-hand automotive products and we are at your service offer you best deal on used engines and cars, excellent service and fastest delivery.
